E2: Your Presence is Your Purpose with Debb Latwat

Human Being Project E2 P1: Your Presence is Your Purpose with Debb Latwat

What if your impact is already greater than anything you imagined?

This week we had the opportunity to speak to Debb, who feels lost. She longs for purpose and meaning, mostly in her work, but no matter what she does, something is still missing.

Sound familiar?

She wonders why she's here, what she's meant to do, and why nothing seems to light her up the way it used to.

Feeling trapped in a routine she doesn't love and wrestling with her own overwhelming expectations of what she should be doing with her life, she overlooks the treasure nestled deep within her - the gift of her presence.

Many of us struggle to see the value in the gifts that come so naturally to us. They are the things we do effortlessly and with grace, winning the respect and admiration of others, often without ever knowing it. We assume what comes so naturally to us comes just as easily to others.

But it doesn't.

Who you are and the way you show up impacts people, but first, it impacts you. What stories are you telling yourself about who you are? Are those stories true?

In this episode, I have a unique perspective because Debb is a friend of mine. I know that everywhere she goes, she shines bright. She seems unaware of this when I first mention it but then begins to see that she's overcomplicating things.

She doesn't need to change the world with some life-altering invention or as a famous photographer for National Geographic. She's already making waves, changing lives, and leaving her mark, just by being Debb.

Debb's story is your story, and your impact is just as magnificent as hers. As you listen, I hope you're able to see yourself through the eyes of the people you touch every day. You have immense power to change your life and impact others - simply with your presence.
